Memories

Paul & Pam
You were always involved with leadership positions in the PTA. What a great way to keep an inside track with the teachers — and to serve.

I remember how proud you were always were of us at band concerts. I never understood it until I got to watch my own kids perform.

You always have pimento-cheese for a quick sandwich (and maybe a Reese Cup) if we stop by. Its been that way for 20 years now

I remember you helping me pick out the used Schilke trumpet from the paper, and going with me to buy it. What a great deal. I still have it, and the appreciation for value, and practice, etc.

You always worried about whichever child was out too late at night. I remember you calling the hospital emergency rooms to see if we had been brought in. We hadn't.

Wow you took to computers quickly! I brag about your online savvy all the time (even if I don't answer all your e-mails).

I have always thought that you symbolize the quality education of a generation - turns out its just that You are smart. I can always call you with a spelling question, or word usage, or geographical tidbit - an you know the answer. You are lots quicker than a dictionary - even the online variety. If I ever made it to a TV game show, you would be my 'phone a friend' for geography, history, science, english, religion, film, music,... everything but sports I guess. Who was the first runner to break 4 minutes for the mile?

I remember you buying us a pup-tent with savings from a raise you got at the insurance company. You always managed to do so much for us.
